Troy, N.Y.---- L&P Media, a local integrated advertising and marketing company, was recently honored by the North American YMCA Development Officers (NAYDO) for its work in the video field. The company has been chosen to receive a prestigious NAYDO Communications Award for a video it produced for the Capital District YMCA’s Black and Latino Achievers Program.
“We are truly honored that the quality of our work is again being recognized internationally” said John Daniels, President of L&P Media, “but it’s even more gratifying to know that the Capital District YMCA’s Black and Latino Achievers Program is getting recognized around the country for the inspirational and successful program that it is, serving its mission to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.”
“At its heart, our Black & Latino Achievers Program gives students the opportunity to set meaningful educational and career goals, and the guidance of caring adult mentors to help them reach those goals,” noted Capital District YMCA President and Chief Executive Officer, Dave Brown. “Our nation needs this pairing of students with adult role models now more than ever, as we struggle to keep students engaged in the educational process, and focused on their future.”
“L&P Media’s video illustrates, in a very compelling and memorable way, the lives that have been forever changed, for the better, because of this program.”
NAYDO provides YMCA professionals and volunteers around North America with training, educational, and knowledge sharing opportunities to advance the development of YMCA’s across the globe. The annual Communications Awards help to highlight successful programs that can provide inspiration and real life examples that others can learn from.
L&P Media’s award-winning video captured the importance of the Black & Latino Achievers Program for the participants, as well as those who work and volunteer time in the program to help the youngsters succeed. Through a series of interviews, the video highlights the key elements of the program, starting with how it gets people involved, the importance of corporate support, the opportunities the program offers to be successful, the support the program offers, the recognition it offers, and how it gives birth to new ventures.
